Why install electric gates? This is probably one of the most common questions asked - so let’s start with the basics. Without a gate your property is easily accessed by unwanted callers - whether its sales calls, nosy neighbours or burglars looking for an easy opportunity. So a good gate will help deter unwanted visitors. But many of us have gates that we don't use - let’s face it jumping in and out of the car to open and close the gate soon becomes a chore. So we leave the gate open - it’s just easier. This is where the electric gate comes in. Always closed when not in use, so deterring unwanted visitors, and easy to operate on days you don't wish to leave the comfort of your car. With the advances in technology, gone are the days where remote access was often still hard work - you needed to punch in a number on a keypad to gain access or you needed to be just a few feet away from the gate. Now we can control our gates from our mobile phones and provide access to expected callers. So what about the additional cost of installing an electric gate? Another question often asked and understandably so - no job ever ends up by being small. New gates may mean new pillars - new pillars may mean new fencing and new fencing may mean a new driveway. But with added security, peace of mind as well as improving the entrance to your driveway, it may be worth the investment. One thing we always recommend is get them installed by professionals.
